Kristen has had the distinguished honor of beginning her Traditional Chinese Medicine training with Dr. Xie Peiqi in Beijing, China. Dr Xie was the lineage holder for the Yin Style Bagua Zhang martial and medical arts system until his passing in 2003. Dr. Xie was a Traditional Chinese Medicine practitioner and tremendous healer. Yin Style Bagua Zhang is a very complex and complete art, encompassing healing, martial, and Qi (energy) nurturing aspects. Kristen was very fortunate and grateful to Dr. Xie for so generously and patiently sharing his talents with her and the world.
Kristen received her Equine Acupressure Certification with Tallgrass Animal Acupressure Institute in Colorado, improving her sensitivity and understanding of acupressure including five-element theory and application. Tallgrass is World-Renowned for their insightful and comprehensive training of acupressure practitioners. They have made acupressure accessible to many animal owners through their ever growing network of certified practitioners.
Kristen continues her education with BioEnergenics, founded by Cherie Hecht. Cherie has enlightened Kristen with her giving manner and incredible sensitivity to her equine patients. Cherie has over 14 years experience in the equine wellness field. She is exceptionally skilled in Acupressure, Kinesiology, muscle release, bio Energies/bodywork, Acuscope/Myoscope, and Reiki. Currently Cherie is located in Texas where she is building her equine therapy barn. Cherie continues to teach Kristen, guiding her in the more advanced techniques of alternative equine therapies. Kristen is blessed to have Cherie to consult with and learn from.
Kristen gives special thanks to Spring, Bud and Samantha and all the animals that have taught her over the years. They are sensitive and responsive in their lessons and incredibly encouraging and patient as teachers. The love of her animals and the desire to heal them has led her down life’s path. Kristen also thanks her wonderful husband for his never-ending support and encouragement to pursue her dream.
