Our Philosophy
Assisting our equine friends to help them feel the best that they can is our prime goal. Through Acupressure, structural release, aromatherapy, kinesiology, and microcurrent therapy, we balance the horses energy. We also use natural products to aid us in helping the horse achieve its optimum health.
Benefits of Equine Body Work
Acupressure offers horses thousands of years of natural healing and optimal health. Current conventional and eastern medicines scientific studies and clinical observation have proven that the benefits of acupressure include:
- Reducing fear, anxiety and stress
- Dealing with issues of aging and past injuries
- Improving body flexibility and mobility
- Relieving muscle spasms and stiffness
- Strengthening muscles, tendons, joints and bones
- Building the immune system to resolve or prevent illness
- Releasing of natural cortizone to reduce swelling and inflammation
- Releasing endorphins necessary to increase energy or relieve pain
- Enhancing mental clarity and clam required for focus in training and performance
- Resolve injuries more readily by increasing the blood supply and removing toxins

What our Therapy Session consists of
To begin our session, the horse is observed, questions are asked of the owner to understand any issues that need to be addressed, and a full assessment of horse is completed. From that, the therapy session is individually developed to provide what each animal needs. Acupressure points are selected based on the assessment and then those points are worked to clear the imbalances and provide smooth flow of energy through the body. Once the energy is flowing well, any muscle tension is worked. We use different modalities depending again on the situation, location of issue, and animal's particular needs. We may use massage, aromatherapy, tuning forks, Microcurrent, MacLaren Red Light therapy, or other modalities to tailor each session for the horse. With everything moving well, we then perform a structural release on the animal. Structural release can be thought of as a gentle form of chiropractic without the traditional "crack and pop". The horses enjoy it and usually enjoy prompt relief from their therapy sessions.
Along the way, clients are encouraged to ask questions about the session or any specific modalities. An informed client will best be able to continue any follow-up work that is given. We will often leave the client with some activities or points to work to help their horse feel and perform their best.
We provide written notes on what we found and what the follow up should be, if required, so our clients are well informed.
We look forward to working wtih your and your horse to help him reach his optimum potential.
